When asked about the issue of alleged manipulation in Shri Ram Janmabhoomi temple donation box, BJP leader Brij Bhushan Singh said that if he told the truth on this issue, he would be in big trouble. Speaking to a news agency, Brij Bhushan said, “If I speak the truth, it will hurt a lot and I will get embroiled in controversy because those people are very powerful. So out of fear I am not speaking the truth.” Many meanings are being made out of this statement of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, who is counted among the strong leaders.

Earlier, BJP leader and party spokesperson Dr. Rajneesh Singh had sent a letter to PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday demanding that the matter be investigated by CBI, Enforcement Directorate or any other competent central agency.

Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati has claimed that theft is happening continuously since the time of Bhoomi Pujan of Ram temple till today. Shankaracharya was asked about the manner in which Akhilesh Yadav has alleged that theft took place in Ayodhya. What is your opinion on this? In response to which he said, “Now the theft has happened… what is the allegation? This thing has come out from there right… He (Akhilesh) has said about the news that has come out from there.”

Shankaracharya further said, “Thefts are happening continuously there (in Ayodhya). Is it happening for the first time? There (thefts) have started ever since the Shilapujan took place. How many allegations have been made. First, thefts took place during the Shilapujan. After that, when the temple started being built on the birthplace of Ram, plots started being sold. In a matter of two minutes, a plot worth lakhs would turn into a crore… Now this theft…”
