Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday gave a very big and important statement regarding the women power of the country. PM Modi said that all the efforts of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government have always been based on respect, opportunities and empowerment of women. He clearly said that the policies of his government have helped in creating such a wonderful environment in the country where women can show their full potential without any restrictions. Along with this, they are able to contribute to nation building more strongly than before.
Prime Minister Modi especially emphasized that the NDA government has worked with all its strength to take forward the story of women-led development during its long tenure of 12 years and today its impact is clearly visible on the ground in various sectors. He said that whether it is financial inclusion or business (entrepreneurship), from education and healthcare to sanitation, housing, sports, science and governance of the country, women are today playing major and decisive roles in every different field. The Prime Minister wrote on the social media platform ‘X’ that the efforts of the NDA government are based on respect, opportunity and empowerment, due to which women have got full scope to move forward.
From space to flying drones, women power is being heard everywhere
Taking his point forward, the Prime Minister said that he personally feels particularly happy to see that the women power of India is today making a distinct and strong identity for itself even in very complex and modern fields like science, space and innovation. The daughters of the country are no longer behind in any matter.
He further said that the ever-increasing participation of women in completely new and emerging areas like drone technology is opening new avenues of opportunities and due to this, the entire picture of development across the country has changed today. The Prime Minister proudly said that our government is very actively supporting and promoting Self Help Groups in rural areas, which are playing the most important role in making women economically self-reliant and strong.
12 glorious years in power completed, Jawaharlal Nehru’s years old record also broken
Let us tell you that the Modi government has completed 12 glorious years of its power at the Centre. Narendra Modi first took the oath of office and secrecy as the Prime Minister of India on 26 May 2014. With this, he became the first Prime Minister of the country, who was born after India’s independence. After this, with the huge support of the people of the country, his second term started on 30 May 2019. Then, after achieving another historic and decisive victory in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, he created history by taking oath as the Prime Minister of the country for the third consecutive time on 9 June 2024.
With this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made another unique and big record in his name. He on Wednesday surpassed India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru’s long-standing record of 4,398 days in remaining in power as a democratically elected Prime Minister since the 1952 general elections. It is known that Jawaharlal Nehru was the head of the interim government of the country from 1947 to 1952, because at that time i.e. till 1952, general elections were not held in the country. In such a situation, the big record of holding power as an elected Prime Minister for the longest period has now been registered in the name of PM Modi.
