The actor had reached Delhi High Court demanding a ban on the release and promotion of the film. A hearing was held today in this case, where many important arguments were made by his lawyer. However, the court has not ordered any interim stay at this time and has decided to hear the makers’ side first. The court has issued a notice to the makers and sought their reply. What did Salman Khan’s lawyer say about the poster?

During the hearing, senior lawyer Nizam Pasha presented the actor’s side in the court on behalf of Salman Khan. He said that a poster of the film was released on May 29, in which the person shown looks like Salman Khan. Not only this, his attire and style also matches the actor’s image. The lawyer argued that after seeing the poster, people can easily assume that the film is about them. He said that the actor’s image is being used in the promotion of the film, although no permission was taken for this.

Allegation of violation of personality rights

Salman Khan’s legal team told the court that he has already been acquitted in three of the four cases related to the blackbuck poaching case. Despite this, it is not right to use his image and name in this manner. The lawyer said that the public identity and personality of any person are part of his legal rights. If someone’s identity is used in a film, advertisement or other project without permission, it can be seen as a violation of personality rights. It was also said on behalf of Salman Khan that he is being used in the promotion of the film and things related to it. Due to which his image is being affected.

Demand to ban the release of the film

During the hearing in the court, a demand was made on behalf of the actor to ban the release, promotion and activities of the film. The lawyer said that Salman Khan’s name is constantly being linked to the film in media reports and social media. The lawyer further said that the trailer of the film has also been released and if timely action is not taken in this matter, its impact may increase further. At present the release date of the film has not been decided, hence the court should consider banning this film.

What did Delhi High Court say?

Delhi High Court has currently refused to ban the film. The court says that before any order, the film makers and the parties related to this case should also be given an opportunity. The court said that no decision can be taken without listening to the opposition side. For this reason, the court has issued a notice to the producer of the film and the parties related to it and has sought their reply by June 19. In such a situation, the makers will have to file their reply within time as per the order, after which the court will consider hearing the case.
