Kangana Ranaut praised Deepika Padukone: ‘Negativity and insecurity are increasing in Bollywood’
New Delhi. Bollywood actress and MP Kangana Ranaut, known for her outspoken statements, is once again in the news. However, this time he did not comment on any controversial issue, rather shared his opinion about the increasing insecurity, jealousy and decreasing brotherhood among the artists in the film industry. The special thing was that during the conversation, Kangana openly praised actress Deepika Padukone and told that she learned many positive things from her in the initial phase of her career.
In an interview, Kangana said that she is often surprised to see how many people live life with such a feeling of insecurity. According to him, a person’s mentality is more important than what he has and what he doesn’t have. He said that it is normal for a human being to have feelings like jealousy, insecurity or comparing oneself with others, but it is the individual’s choice to let these emotions dominate him or to control them.
Kangana believes that negative emotions can affect a person’s talent, attractiveness and decision-making abilities. He said that he has seen many people in his life who are extremely talented, attractive and successful, but the feeling of insecurity makes them weak from within. This is why she had decided at the very beginning of her career that she would not let such emotions dominate her personality.
The actress said that if someone is less experienced or less talented than her, she tries to help him and push him further. If someone is more talented than them, they believe in learning from him. According to him, this process of learning and progressing only makes a person better, whereas insecurity only becomes a hindrance in the path of development.
During the conversation, Kangana also recalled her initial struggles. She told that when she left her home at a very young age and came to the film industry, she had very little knowledge about this world. Coming from a village and having limited experience, many things were challenging for him. At such times, he developed himself by observing and learning from the people around him.
In this context, he gave the example of Deepika Padukone. Kangana said that Deepika has a sports background and she always closely observed her fitness, discipline and dedication. She said that despite being a girl from a science background, she learned a lot from her contemporary artists and Deepika is one of them. According to Kangana, accepting and praising the good things of a person is the first step to learning.
He also said that if one does not accept someone’s beauty, talent or special qualities, then one will lose the opportunity to learn from them. Kangana believes that praising does not make a person small, but broadens his perspective.
Finally, Kangana also expressed concern over the growing distance between the current generation of artists. He said that in earlier decades, friendship and affinity among artists was more visible, whereas today the atmosphere of conversation and mutual appreciation is decreasing. Specifically, he said that nowadays people avoid praising each other openly, whereas positivity and cooperation are the biggest strengths of any creative field.
