Iran gave a befitting reply to Israel, unity forced the enemy for ceasefire in the 12-day war
Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has made a big claim. He said that during the 12-day long war, Iran’s unity forced the enemy to ask for ceasefire. In a statement issued by IRNA News Agency on June 13, 2026, he praised the unity of the country.
12 day war and national unity
President Pezeshkian told that this 12-day war was started by the Israeli regime in June 2025. He said that in this difficult time, all Iranian people with different political views and backgrounds came together to protect the country. Because of this unity the enemy had to retreat. Earlier also on June 24, 2025, he had informed about the end of this war.
Emphasis on negotiation and diplomacy
In his statements on June 10, 2026, the President said that Iran now wants to exit the long-term situation of “no war, no peace”. He said Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has given permission for talks and discussions to resolve the dispute.
