MNS’s ultimatum and BMC’s action

As soon as information about the dispute was received, MNS leader Sandeep Deshpande adopted a very aggressive stance. Giving an ultimatum to the administration, he said that if these white stripes were not removed by 3 pm, then MNS workers themselves would take to the road and paint black paint on these stripes. After this warning of MNS, BMC administration immediately came into action. In the presence of BMC officials and police, the employees started the work of erasing those white stripes on the road with the help of thinner.

We are not wearing bangles: Jain religious leader’s reaction

Responding to Sandeep Deshpande’s stance, Jain religious leader Nilesh Chandra Muni said that MNS leaders are trying to create a rift between the two communities. He said in a warning tone that the Jain community is definitely peace-loving, but it does not mean that the Jain community wears bangles. He reminded Sandeep Deshpande of Bal Thackeray and said that Balasaheb always loved Jain and Marwari society and never allowed anyone to be troubled.

At present the situation remains tense in these areas of Dadar. Although the administration has removed the strips from the roads, the bitterness that has arisen between the local citizens and the Jain community has become the new center of politics.
