It will now be necessary for employees working in sales and reception accounting professions in Saudi Arabia to make proper seating arrangements. Changes in labor law

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) has made workplace rules stricter than before. Under the new labor law that came into effect from March 19, 2026, the standards of employee welfare have been increased. Now it will be mandatory for companies to keep digital records and follow the rules. If any company violates these standards, it will be imposed with heavy fines.

The ministry has implemented 100% Saudization in 69 more professions related to administrative support in April 2026. In addition, the rate of Saudization in the field of marketing and sales has also been increased to 60%. This includes posts like Sales Manager and Retail Sales Representative.

These changes will have a direct impact on Indian expatriates and other foreign employees working in Saudi Arabia. The main objective of the government is to make the workplace environment digital and flexible, which will now be monitored through electronic audit.
