Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda have fulfilled one of the commitments they made earlier this year, shortly after their wedding.
According to The Times of Indiathe newly-wed couple announced their joint support for students in Telangana government schools, a region connected to the 37-year-old actor and producer’s roots in Thummanpet.
Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) handle, Deverakonda revealed that he and Mandanna had travelled to the village to complete the promise they made earlier.
“We are on our way to Thummanpet. The little village where my Father was born,” he wrote.
The Arjun Reddy actor added, “In February – @iamRashmikan and I had announced the beginning of a little dream of ours. To reward all the hardworking students of 9th and 10th grade from Achampet Mandal of Telangana.”
Expressing his happiness, he also shared the list of 180 selected students, comprising 73 boys and 107 girls.
Deverakonda and Mandanna launched the initiative through the Deverakonda Foundation, aiming to support students in Classes 9 and 10 across 44 government schools in Thummanpeta.
As part of the initiative, the foundation will ensure school fees are paid on time while also assisting students with notebooks and other study materials.

The couple exchanged vows on February 26, 2026, in an intimate destination wedding in Udaipur, after nearly eight years of romance that began with their on-screen pairing in Geetha Govindam (2018) and Dear Comrade (2019), followed by a private engagement in October 2025.
