Tractor, bike and house burnt, huge uproar in Dehradun after murder of BJP leader

There has been a huge uproar in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, after the murder of a BJP leader. The angry mob pelted stones and set fire to the house of the accused. On the other hand, the administration has also started bulldozer action against the accused. Heavy police force is deployed at the spot. There is an atmosphere of tension in the entire village. Many videos of attack on the houses of the accused after the murder are viral on social media. It shows a tractor, bike and house on fire. Goods are scattered inside the house also.

 

Right-wing groups reportedly pelted stones at the houses of the accused and vandalized their property. Provincial Armed Constabulary was deployed in the village on Saturday night. Windows and doors have been broken. The administration demolished the illegal construction of one of the accused with a bulldozer in front of the crowd. During this, the crowd kept raising slogans of ‘Jai Shri Ram’.

According to the police, the incident took place in Bairagiwala village of Sahaspur police station. Here on Saturday, BJP leader Vinod was brutally murdered over a water dispute. Three members of the family are seriously injured. Police have registered a case against 35 unidentified people including three named accused. The entire village has been converted into a cantonment.

Attacked with sticks and hammer

According to the police, between 6 to 6.30 on Saturday evening, Vinod had an argument with Imtiyaz, a resident of the same village, over the issue of field irrigation. Meanwhile, about 40 people attacked Vinod with shovels, hammers and sticks. Vinod died on the spot due to heavy injuries. The accused also beat up brothers Rajesh, Ashok and sister-in-law Sushma. Both are undergoing treatment in the hospital in critical condition.

 

 

 

FIR registered against them

On the complaint of Ashok, the police have registered a case against Razzaq, Imtiaz, Aman, Yunus, Shahbaz, Sharafat Ali, Masoom, Adil, Shamoon, Salman, Javed and Intezaar besides 30 to 35 unknown people. Senior Superintendent of Police Pramendra Singh Doval said, ‘We have registered a case in connection with the murder. Strict action will be taken against the people involved in this. Police force has been deployed in the area to maintain law and order.

The family demanded an encounter

Vinod Kumar’s father Bhagwat told that I was not there. Actually there was no fight at that time. The discussion regarding money had taken place a day before. That boy had Rs 14,000. He might have asked for money yesterday. When he gave the money today he was murdered. There was a crowd gathered there. Imtiaz instigated the fight. If the police does not encounter Imtiaz and Razzaq, we will not allow the body to be taken away from here.
