Following the US government’s export control directive, leading artificial intelligence company Ambropic has advanced its AI Global availability of the models, ‘Fable 5’ and ‘Midhos 5’, has been temporarily banned with immediate effect. The US company said in a statement that the directive was issued for reasons of national security. Therefore, the use of these AI models by any foreign national in the US or outside the US is prohibited.

There is no impact on the availability of other models of the company
The overall effect of the order, Andropic said, is that it has been forced to immediately deactivate the Fvel 5 and Mythos 5 models for all customers to ensure compliance with the order. However, there will be no impact on the availability of the company’s other models. The decision is likely to impact consumers and industries in India. Company’s agreement with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).
The company recently signed an agreement with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to make its models available to 50,000 employees. Infosys has also announced a partnership for advanced enterprise AI solutions. According to sources, some Indian government agencies and private companies have also recently been allowed to use the Mithos model under a cybersecurity initiative called ‘Project Glasswing’.
The Fabled 5 model, developed for capabilities such as code analysis, identifying and remediating software errors, is used in cybersecurity and enterprise solutions. On the other hand, the Mythos 5 model is capable of analyzing complex systems and assessing potential vulnerabilities. Given its capabilities, it was only made available for limited and controlled use. Andropic said he received the directive from the US government on June 12. However, the letter did not elaborate on national security concerns.
