Prince William, Kate and children join King Charles at balcony for Trooping the Colour

King Charles led the royal family onto the Buckingham Palace balcony as Trooping the Colour celebrations concluded with a spectacular Royal Air Force flypast.

The annual event was held on Saturday, June 13, which was attended by many senior royals.

The 77-year-old monarch waved to thousands of well-wishers gathered along The Mall before joining other royals in watching the aerial display above central London.

He was joined by Queen Camilla, Prince William and Princess Kate, along with their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Notably absent were Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, whose last appearance at Trooping the Colour was in June 2022.

Also appearing on the balcony were Princess Anne and Sir Tim Laurence, Prince Edward and Sophie, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, and the Duke of Kent.

Following the flypast, members of the royal family stood for the national anthem before King Charles gave a final wave and returned inside Buckingham Palace.

Trooping of the Colour is the annual celebration held in summer to celebrate the official birthday of the British Sovereign. It includes a formal military parade which features over 1,400 marching soldiers.
