Storyteller Devaki Nandan Thakur demands ‘Sanatan Board’ from CM Yogi in Ram Mandir scam controversy
digital desk- The case of alleged embezzlement of crores of rupees in offerings and donations in the grand and divine Lord Shri Ramlala temple of Ayodhya has now gained nationwide political and religious significance. Amidst the echo of this alleged scam, the three-member Special Investigation Team constituted by the Uttar Pradesh government on Monday directly reached the Ram Temple complex in Ayodhya and started its investigation. On one hand, while the period of sharp political rhetoric continues in this matter, on the other hand, the country’s famous storyteller Devki Nandan Thakur has expressed deep sorrow over this controversy and has made a very important demand from Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
“Yogi ji! Start the formation of ‘Sanatan Board’ from Ram temple itself”
Vrindavan’s famous storyteller Devaki Nandan Thakur has taken a sharp stance on the allegations of administrative interference and theft of donations in Ram temple. He said that it is very painful that only a few days have passed since the temple of Lord Shri Ram was built and already such controversies and financial irregularities have started coming to the fore. He said that that is why he advocated the formation of ‘Sanatan Board’ in the country. It is absolutely not right to make government officials the overseers of the temple. The system of officials is not related to our religion. Government officials do not interfere in the places of worship of any other religion, then why is it so in our own religion? We will only pray to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ji that he should make a historic beginning of making ‘Sanatan Board’ from the Ram temple of Ayodhya itself. “Whoever he likes among the four Shankaracharyas of the country, make him the chairman of this board and hand over the management of the temple completely in the hands of the Sanatanis.” The narrator reiterates the warning of the scriptures that anyone who tries to eat (corrupt) the sacred wealth of the temple becomes a worm of feces for 60 thousand years in the next lives according to religious texts. He said that whoever knows about this will not touch even a single rupee of the temple.
SIT in action; Nripendra Mishra said – ‘There will be no negligence, criminal angle will also be investigated’
Let us inform that the Uttar Pradesh government on Saturday formed a three-member SIT to investigate the alleged embezzlement of donation amount in Ram Temple, which includes Lucknow Divisional Commissioner Vijay Vishwas Pant, IG Kiran S and Special Secretary of Finance Department Neel Ratan. On Monday, this team reached the temple premises and the trust office and examined the documents. Meanwhile, Ram Mandir Construction Committee Chairman Nripendra Mishra has given a big statement regarding the investigation. He made it clear that there will be no negligence at any level in this investigation. He said, “The SIT investigation has two main aspects – first is criminal and second is systemic reforms to prevent such incidents in future. Only when impartial work is done on both the aspects, we will be able to further strengthen the faith of crores of devotees in the country and abroad. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is providing all possible assistance to the SIT in the investigation.”
Akhilesh Yadav had opened the front, ‘Hell’ banners were put up on the streets of Ayodhya
The script of this entire controversy was written on June 7, when Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, citing reports of missing crores of rupees received as offerings in the Ram temple, had directly requested the court to take cognizance of the matter. However, at that time the General Secretary of the Temple Trust, Champat Rai, had rejected these allegations and said that the internal audit was going on and no facts of embezzlement had come to light. Now amidst this controversy, politics and poster war has also started. Youth Congress state officer Sharad Shukla has put up a big controversial banner in Ayodhya. This banner containing a verse from Skanda Purana states that whoever tries to steal the property or money of Ram temple will rot in hell as a worm for 60,000 years and Lord Ramlala himself will judge him. At present, after the entry of SIT, the political and religious temperature in Ayodhya has completely increased.
