Lucknow: Indian players have shown tremendous performance in the latest Women’s T20 rankings released by ICC on Tuesday. Indian bowlers have benefited from their impressive win against Pakistan in the Women’s T20 World Cup in the rankings. India’s young sensation Shri Charani and star all-rounder Deepti Sharma have achieved career-best rankings on the basis of their tight bowling.

Shri Charani reached career best ranking, captured second place

Magical left-arm spinner Sri Charani has created a stir in the ICC women’s bowling rankings. By making a big jump of 5 places, she has directly occupied the second position (number-2). This is the best ranking of his career with 728 rating points. She has pushed England’s Lauren Bell to third place. Currently, Linsey Smith of England remains at the first position in this list.

Deepti Sharma, who was the ‘Player of the Match’ against Pakistan, has also got double benefit in ICC rankings. Deepti has moved up 5 places to 5th position in the T20 bowling rankings. Not only in bowling, but in the T20 all-rounder rankings too, Deepti has shown her dominance by jumping 2 places and now she has reached the third position.

Big upset in all-rounder ranking

New Zealand captain Amelia Kerr has suffered the biggest blow in the latest rankings. In the all-rounder rankings, she has been deprived of the number-1 crown and has slipped to the second position. Now West Indies legend Hayley Mathews has become the world’s new number-1 all-rounder with 471 rating points.

Mandhana remains in top-5, loss to Harmanpreet

Talking about women’s T20 batting rankings, India’s vice-captain Smriti Mandhana is still firmly at the fifth position. However, captain Harmanpreet Kaur has lost one place and slipped from 10th to 11th. Australia’s Georgia Wall is ruling the first position in batting, while Laura Wolvaardt is at second and Beth Moone is at third position.
