Redmi Turbo 5 will be launched today: Will create a stir with 7540mAh battery, 50MP camera and 100W fast charging

The new smartphone Redmi Turbo 5 of Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi is going to be launched in India today (16 June 2026). This will be the first smartphone of the Redmi Turbo series to be launched in the Indian market. The company will launch this smartphone today at 12 noon through a special launch event, the livestream of which can be seen on the official YouTube channel of Redmi India.

Redmi Turbo 5 price in India (expected)
The company has not yet officially announced the Indian price and storage variants of Redmi Turbo 5. However, its starting price in China was kept at 2,299 yuan (about Rs 30,000).

• 16GB RAM + 512GB storage: Around ₹38,000

This smartphone will be available for sale in India through Amazon. It will be launched in Black, Green and White color options.

Features and specifications of Redmi Turbo 5
Redmi Turbo 5 will have a 1.5K flat fluid display, which will come with 120Hz refresh rate and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. The model launched in China has a 6.59 inch display, which has 3500 nits peak brightness, Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support.

MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor will be provided in the smartphone. With this, support for 12GB LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage will be available. Besides, the facility of virtual RAM expansion up to 12GB will also be provided.

For better cooling, the phone will have 3D Ice-Loop Cooling System.

For photography, dual rear camera setup will be provided in Redmi Turbo 5. It will include a 50MP primary camera (OIS + EIS support) and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. It will have a 20MP front camera for selfie and video calling.

The phone will have a large battery of 7,540mAh, which will support 100W fast charging. The company claims that this smartphone will be capable of providing backup for a long time.

Talking about other features, Redmi Turbo 5 will get IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K rating, due to which it will provide better protection from dust and water. The smartphone will be offered with a strong aerospace-grade metal frame. It will have a display with 120Hz refresh rate, which will provide smooth scrolling and better viewing experience.

At the same time, with the help of Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support, users will get to experience great video quality. The phone will also be provided with 3D Ice-Loop Cooling System, which will help in protecting the device from overheating during long gaming and multitasking.
