Bihar government’s decision, great news for the elderly, disabled and women
Patna. There is news of great relief for the elderly, disabled people and widowed women who are not able to avail the benefits of social security schemes in Bihar. The state government has decided to take special steps to extend the benefits of the pension scheme to such people.
Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has announced that all eligible people deprived of social security pension will be linked to the scheme as soon as possible. For this, necessary instructions have been given to the officers of all the districts of the state. So that people can get its benefit.
More than 18 lakh people will get benefits
The Chief Minister said that more than 18 lakh people in the state are currently not able to avail the benefits of social security pension. Instructions have been given to all the District Magistrates to identify such families and link their e-KYC and Aadhaar. The aim of the government is to identify eligible beneficiaries and provide them pension facilities as soon as possible.
Benefits being provided through camps
Block cooperation-cum-public welfare camps are being organized in all 534 blocks of the state. The objective of these camps is to provide information about the schemes of the Central and State Government to the common people. Besides, the process of connecting eligible people with schemes on the spot is also being done, so that the needy do not have to face trouble for government facilities.
Big relief for women also
The Chief Minister also gave a big update regarding women’s employment and self-reliance. He said that the women who have not yet received assistance under the Chief Minister Mahila Rozgar Yojana, will soon be provided the amount. He said that a large number of women in Bihar have joined the Lakhpati Didi campaign and the target has been set to make more women financially strong in the coming times.
