It is being told that this girl, resident of a village in Thakurdwara Kotwali area, was having a love affair with a young man resident of Mohalla Lalbagh of the city about three years ago. The woman alleges that during that time the young man had physical relations with her on the pretext of marriage. But when it came to marriage, the young man made the excuse of pressure from his family and slowly backed down. After this, the girl’s family got her married to someone else as per Muslim customs.

Continued blackmailing even after marriage

The victim alleges that even after marriage, the intentions of the accused youth did not change. He, along with one of his friends, started harassing the woman. Both of them used to continuously call the woman and threaten her citing old relations. The accused repeatedly told her that he could not live without her and that she would have to leave her husband. Due to this mental harassment and blackmailing, fights started happening daily in the woman’s in-laws house.

The house was ruined while playing, now marriage is refused.

The effect of all this torture was that the woman’s married life became complete hell. Eventually, she got divorced from her husband. After facing infamy in the society and family, when the woman asked her old lover to marry her, due to whose promises her house was ruined, the accused’s complexion changed. He clearly said that he would not marry her. The victim has said in her complaint that the accused and his friend have ruined her entire life by luring her into the web of false love.

Police took the accused into custody

Regarding this matter, Thakurdwara Kotwali in-charge said that a complaint letter has been received from the woman’s side. Investigation into the case has been started and the accused youth is being detained and interrogated. Police officials say that further strict legal action will be taken on the basis of whatever facts emerge in the investigation. However, this incident has shocked everyone in the area as to how a woman’s house was destroyed while she was laughing under someone’s influence.
