According to reports, after Elon Musk buys Cursor for $60 billion, Indian-origin Aman and Pakistani Asif will get $2.7-2.7 billion. Elon Musk’s SpaceX has bought the Cursor manufacturing company for $60 billion. This purchase has made two tech experts Aman Sangar and Suleh Asif billionaires. 25 year old Aman is from an Indian family and 26 year old K Asif is from Pakistan. He was born in Karachi.
According to media reports, both Aman Sangar and Suleh Asif have about 4.5 percent stake in Anysphere. According to Forbes, both Aman and Asif will get $2.7 billion from this deal with SpaceX, obviously both the young men will become billionaires in no time. Let us tell you here that apart from Aman and Asif, Cursor was started by two other tech experts Michael Truel and Arvid Lunmark. Michael and Arvid are also expected to get $2.7-2.7 billion. The twist is that the purchase of Cursor was a purely stock deal. This means that Aman and the others will get their $2.7 billion in SpaceX shares and not cash. Aman Sangar and Suleh Asif are the co-founders of ‘Anysphere’. This company creates ‘Cursor’, which is an AI-native code editor and has completely changed the world of software development.
Aman Sangar: Has worked in many companies including Google
Aman Sangar is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of ‘Anisphere’. Indian-origin entrepreneur Sangar was born in New York. He started coding at the age of 14 and studied computer science from MIT. Before starting ‘Cursor’, he gained diverse technical experience by interning at Google, Bridgewater Associates and You.com. After this he also ran an AI consultancy. Aman Sangar has played an important role in the tremendous growth of ‘Anisphere’. He looks after product strategy, distribution and community building. His work focuses on accelerating the progress of General AI by removing bottlenecks in software engineering capabilities.
Suleh Asif: Algorithms have been mastered
Suleh Asif is the Chief Product Officer (CPO) of ‘Anisphere’. Asif, originally from Karachi, Pakistan, is very promising in mathematics. He represented his country in the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) for three consecutive years (2016–2018) and won the bronze medal. He studied at MIT on scholarship, where his mastery of algorithms and competitive programming experience formed the core of ‘Cursor’s technical foundation. Asif leads the product vision and user experience of ‘Cursor’. They’ve transformed it from an early research project at MIT into a platform used by millions of developers at companies like Nvidia and Uber. By the beginning of the year 2026, the valuation of ‘Anisphere’ rapidly increased to billions of dollars and there were reports of interest in buying it from companies like SpaceX and xAI.
