Delhi Police arrested five more accused of terrorist module, was working on the instructions of Pakistani ISI handler Shahzad Bhatti, 12 arrested so far
The Special Cell of Delhi Police on Wednesday arrested five more accused of terrorist module linked to Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. This network was working on the instructions of ISI handler Shahzad Bhatti sitting in Pakistan. The accused arrested in Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan were active and were given the responsibility of targeting policemen and security establishments.
Earlier on Tuesday, 7 other members of this module had been arrested. So far, a total of 12 members of this module have been arrested in two days.
The Special Cell of Delhi Police has arrested these suspects. These suspects were given the task of target killing of police forces of many states of the country. Many suspicious videos have been recovered in which the police force’s recce videos were sent to Pakistan. Police investigation has revealed that these terrorists were instigating the youth of India from the call center of Pakistani agency ISI present in Islamabad. They used to mislead the youth and connect them with ISI.
The Special Cell has recovered five illegal pistols, ten live cartridges, posters of Shahzad Bhatti Network member Abid Jatt and videos of them chasing and threatening policemen from the possession of the accused.
The arrested accused have been identified as Sohail resident of Faridabad, Sonu Meena and Sachin Kumar Meena resident of Ghitorni, Delhi, Mohammad Kaif resident of Nuh, Haryana and Mohammad Rihan resident of Meerut.
The accused were also given the responsibility of propagating the terrorist organization ‘Tehreek-e-Taliban Hindustan’ (TTH) in the Delhi-NCR area with the posters of Pakistani handlers. Police say that the interrogation of the arrested accused is going on and efforts are on to identify other possible members of the module and their network.
Special Cell Deputy Commissioner Nara Chaitanya said that the police had been keeping an eye on the activities of sleeper modules and terrorist networks operating in the country for a long time.
