Will Parimal Nathwani Win: Will Parimal Nathwani reach Rajya Sabha again by breaking Hemant Soren’s alliance?, support of only so many MLAs is needed

Ranchi. Like all the states, voting for two Rajya Sabha seats from Jharkhand is to be held on June 18. Hemant Soren’s ruling JMM has fielded candidates on one seat and its ally Congress has fielded candidates on one seat. At the same time, Parimal Nathwani is also in the fray as an independent. He has won the Rajya Sabha elections earlier also. NDA has supported Parimal Nathwani. In such a situation, there is a heated discussion that JMM and Congress MLAs may split. Due to whose votes Parimal Nathwani will win the Rajya Sabha elections. In such a situation, let us tell you the mathematics of Jharkhand Assembly.

To win the Rajya Sabha elections from Jharkhand, every candidate needs 28 votes. JMM has 34 MLAs, Congress has 16, RJD has 4 and Left parties have 2 MLAs in the Jharkhand Assembly. That means the ruling grand alliance has 56 MLAs. This mathematics shows that JMM and Congress candidates can easily win the Rajya Sabha elections, but the big danger is that if 4 MLAs of the Grand Alliance vote in favor of Parimal Nathwani, then his victory will be certain. Because the number of NDA MLAs is 24. Which includes 21 MLAs from BJP, 1 from LJP, 1 from JDU and 1 from AJSU. However, to make Parimal Nathwani victorious, NDA will have to stop the defection of its MLAs at any cost.

Parimal Nathwani, associated with Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Group, has so far gone to Rajya Sabha thrice as an independent candidate. In the year 2008 he won from Jharkhand. After this, in 2014 also Nathwani had won the Rajya Sabha elections from Jharkhand. Whereas, in 2020, he contested the Rajya Sabha elections from Andhra Pradesh and won again with the support of YSRCP. This time too Parimal Nathwani has tried his best to get the support of 4 MLAs. By the night of 18th June it will be known whether this time too he is successful in his mission or not. Let us tell you that in 2008, Parimal Nathwani had won the Rajya Sabha elections from Jharkhand by cross-voting the RJD MLAs.
