IND vs AFG Playing 11: Debut of the one who dismissed Virat Kohli, Afghanistan also gave a chance to 2, know the playing-11

The second match of the three-match ODI series is being played between India and Afghanistan in Lucknow. Afghanistan won the toss and decided to field. A total of three players have debuted in this match. Fast bowler Prince Yadav has made his debut for India, while for Afghanistan, two new players have got a place in the playing-11. Darvesh Rasooli and Bilal Sami are playing their first ODI. Both the teams made three major changes each in their playing XI.

Apart from giving debut to Prince, India also included Yashasvi Jaiswal and Kuldeep Yadav in their squad. Harsh Dubey, Prasidh Krishna and Nitish Kumar Reddy were the players who were dropped from the team after the first ODI. India captain Shubman Gill said that Reddy was not available for selection due to pain in his left thigh.

Prince Yadav’s ODI debut
Prince has a lot of experience playing at the Ekana Stadium, as he has played for Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL for the last two seasons. In a match of IPL 2026, Prince Yadav surprised Virat Kohli with his speed and took his wicket. After this match, Kohli also talked to this fast bowler for a long time.

Debut of two for Afghanistan
Afghanistan has also given batsman Darwish Rasooli a chance to make his ODI debut. Also, left arm spinner Nangeyalia Kharote and fast bowler Bilal Sami were also included in the team. Those left out of the team included ailing Mohammad Nabi, Azmatullah Umarzai who got injured during training and fast bowler Ziaur Rehman.

At the time of the toss, Afghanistan captain Hashmatullah Shahidi said, ‘The pitch looks fresh and will spin in the first innings. In the last match we played well, but we could not make a good partnership and lost our wickets. Hopefully the boys will learn from this.

Afghanistan is trailing in the three-match ODI series. The visiting team had to face defeat by seven wickets in the rain-affected 25-25 over match in Dharamshala. It is a big change for the teams to come from the cold and humid weather of Dharamshala to the hot and humid weather of Lucknow, where the temperature is expected to reach 40 degrees Celsius. In view of the heat, there will be three drinks breaks during the first innings at 2:30 pm, 3:30 pm and 4:30 pm local time.
