Petrol bombs were hurled targeting the RSS office complex late on Tuesday night. The incident has been captured in CCTV cameras. In the footage, two youths are seen throwing petrol bombs towards the office. One of the bombs exploded, while the other one became defunct. There is no report of anyone being injured or major damage to the office in the incident. Considering the seriousness of the case, SIT, dog squad and forensic team have been deployed in the investigation.
The police is busy connecting the links of the entire incident on the basis of evidence collected from the incident site, CCTV footage and interrogation of the detained people. Officials say that efforts are being made to find out who else were involved in the incident and what was the intention behind it. After getting information about the incident, many senior BJP leaders reached the RSS office and took stock of the situation.
BJP leaders spoke to State Director General of Police Tadasha Mishra and demanded immediate action in the matter. The DGP assured them that the investigation was progressing rapidly and the culprits would be arrested soon.
Former Chief Minister Raghuvar Das condemned the incident and said that there should be a fair and thorough investigation. He said that not only the attackers should be arrested, but if there is any conspiracy behind it then it should also be exposed.
Raghuvar Das said that he had talked to the DGP and requested to form a SIT to investigate the matter. The good thing is that the DGP has immediately implemented his suggestion.
