Peace deal final between US and Iran, Strait of Hormuz will reopen, agreement to be held in Switzerland tomorrow

The long-running tension between America and Iran is about to end. A major peace agreement has been signed between the two countries with the mediation of Pakistan. The agreement will be officially signed tomorrow, Friday, June 19, 2026, in Switzerland. This news has brought great relief to the entire world and especially the Gulf countries.

Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has given information about this peace agreement. Apart from these, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Turkey also gave full cooperation in making the talks successful. Saudi Arabia has welcomed the agreement and praised the mediation efforts.

  • Prohibition on military action: Military operations on all fronts, including Lebanon, will be immediately and permanently ended.
  • Restoration of Strait of Hormuz: US President Donald Trump has ordered to open this waterway toll free and remove the US Navy blockade. Iran will allow merchant ships to pass through here without any duty for the next 60 days.
  • Relief from restrictions: The sanctions imposed on Iran will be gradually lifted and Iran’s frozen assets will be returned.
  • Nuclear Programme: The removal or destruction of Iran’s nuclear program and uranium stockpile will be under the supervision of the IAEA, with terms to be decided over the next 60 days.
