IND vs AFG: Yashasvi IN… Prince Yadav’s debut, Kuldeep also gets a chance in the second ODI

The second match of the 3-match ODI series between India and Afghanistan is being played today (June 17) at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Afghanistan captain Hashmatullah Shahidi has won the toss and decided to bowl first in this match. That means Team India, which is leading 1-0 in the series, will be seen batting first. Captain Shubman Gill said during the toss that we are forced to play with 5 bowlers. In such a situation, we would also choose bowling first.

 

Fast bowler Prince Yadav is starting his international career through this match. He would like to leave his mark in his home ground of IPL, Lucknow. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Kuldeep Yadav have also got a chance. Shubman told that Nitish Kumar Reddy is injured, due to which he is out. Prasidh Krishna has been dropped from the playing XI. Harsh Dubey, who made his ODI debut in the last match, has also been dropped.

The Afghan team has also entered with 3 changes. Mohammad Nabi is not well. Whereas Azmatullah Omarzai got injured in the practice session. Ziaur Rehman has been made to sit out. Middle order batsman Darwish Rasooli is making his ODI debut for Afghanistan. Nangeyala Kharote and Bilal Sami have also been included in the playing XI.

Team India had registered an easy victory by 7 wickets in the first match played in Dharamshala. Now the eyes of Shubman Gill brigade will be on capturing the series. The Indian team has entered this series without Virat Kohli. Kohli was out due to injury. Hardik Pandya is also out due to injury.
