When will monsoon arrive in UP, yellow alert issued for these districts

Lucknow. The weather patterns are constantly changing in Uttar Pradesh. On one hand, the scorching sun and scorching heat are troubling people in many districts, while on the other hand, there is continuous rain in some areas. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in many districts for the coming days.

When will monsoon arrive in UP?

According to senior scientists of the Meteorological Department, this time the monsoon is likely to enter Uttar Pradesh from Sonbhadra district around June 23 or 24. However, this time the monsoon is expected to be weak due to the effect of El Nino.

Rain and alert in which districts?

The Meteorological Department has predicted rain and strong winds in many districts of Western and Eastern UP.

Western Uttar Pradesh (16 to 19 June and 22 June): Mathura, Agra, Hathras, Etah, Kasganj, Firozabad, Kannauj, Etawah, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar.

Eastern Uttar Pradesh (17-18 June and 21-22 June): Prayagraj, Varanasi, Mirzapur, Sonbhadra and surrounding areas. There is a possibility of light to moderate rain in these areas along with strong winds at a speed of 70 to 80 km per hour.

The weather remains dry in most of the districts of the state. The temperature is continuously increasing due to strong sunlight. In view of the scorching heat in Prayagraj, a yellow alert has been issued.
