Upheaval in Maharashtra politics: Shock to Uddhav Thackeray, Shiv Sena suffers major setback in UBT

Mumbai Once again a major political upheaval has taken place in the politics of Maharashtra. In a major blow to Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, six Lok Sabha MPs of the party have taken a different path. These MPs have submitted a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla demanding recognition as a separate group.

Shiv Sena (UBT) has a total of nine MPs in the Lok Sabha. The news of separation of six of these MPs has intensified the stir in the party. According to reports, rebel MPs have started preparations to side with the Eknath Shinde faction. After this incident, political turmoil has started again in Maharashtra politics. The Uddhav Thackeray faction has opposed the move of the rebel MPs and has written a letter to the Lok Sabha Speaker demanding not to recognize the separate faction.

There has already been a major split in Shiv Sena, when Eknath Shinde changed the power equation by parting ways with a large group of MLAs. Now the rift among Lok Sabha MPs has increased the problems of Uddhav Thackeray. Leaders of the Uddhav faction allege that this is an attempt to weaken the party. The rebel MPs say that they will form a separate group and decide the future political strategy. This entire development may also impact the position of Shiv Sena (UBT) in Parliament.

This development in Maharashtra politics has happened at a time when new equations are being formed even among the opposition parties. For Shiv Sena (UBT), this is not just a loss in the number of MPs but is being seen as an organizational challenge. This is being considered a big political gain for the Shinde group. In the coming days, the decision of the Lok Sabha Speaker and the strategy of both the groups will decide the direction of Maharashtra politics.
