US-Iran Peace Deal: Historic agreement between Iran and America, Strait of Hormuz opened, India can get cheap oil again

A major peace agreement has been reached between the US and Iran, reopening the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world’s most important sea routes. The biggest agreement in history and its impact on India

US President Donald Trump and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian have signed a 14-point memorandum of understanding (MoU). Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif played the role of mediator in this entire conversation. Iran’s Ambassador to India Mohammad Fatahi said that the security of the Strait of Hormuz is a fundamental principle for Iran. He expressed hope that with this agreement, India will again start getting oil from Iran and the economic relations between the two countries will become stronger.

Ambassador Fatahi also reminded that before the sanctions, Iran was among the top three oil supplying countries to India and the annual trade between the two countries was more than $17 billion.

Under this agreement, America has immediately lifted the blockade of Iran’s ports and Iran has reopened the sea route. The US has promised to lift sanctions on Iran’s oil exports and return their frozen money. Additionally, Iran will also be given an economic development program worth $300 billion.

US Vice President JD Vance said that due to this peace agreement, maritime traffic has resumed and the energy market has stabilized. Iran has also assured that it will ensure the safety of commercial ships and keep the flow of energy going without any interruption. The IAEA will monitor Iran’s nuclear program and uranium reserves in the future. Both countries have decided that talks on a final agreement will be completed within the next 60 days.
