New Delhi. There is good news for those working in the private sector. EPFO may soon provide the facility to withdraw PF amount through UPI and EPFO debit card. According to reports, even before the end of June, private sector employees will get the facility to withdraw money through UPI and debit cards. For the first time, EPFO is going to provide the facility to withdraw money from the account in these two ways. EPFO is making changes in its server for this. On completion of which the employees will get the facility.

According to media reports, EPFO will make arrangements to link the employee’s UPI ID in its new website and Umang app. Employees will be given the facility to withdraw money through UPI of the bank account which is linked to EPFO’s UAN. Labor Minister Mansukh Mandaviya had earlier informed that the government is going to make such arrangements in EPFO, so that employees can easily withdraw money from their PF account in times of need. Earlier, the employee had to apply offline or online to withdraw money between jobs. Through which it took a lot of time to get the money.

Reports say that employees will be allowed to withdraw 50 percent of the amount from their PF account using UPI and EPFO debit cards. Apart from this, after two months of leaving the job or on retirement, the employee can withdraw the entire amount deposited in the PF account. EPFO is also making its new website. There used to be a problem of hanging of the old EPFO website. Due to which employees had to face a lot of difficulties in applying for withdrawal of money or linking bank account and Aadhaar with UAN. To overcome the problems of the employees, the Labor Ministry had earlier made arrangements for providing PF account information and withdrawal of funds through Umang App.
