Friendship on Instagram, relationship formed at birthday party, now refused to marry, rape case registered

A case has come to light from Muzaffarpur, Bihar, which has raised many questions regarding friendships on social media. A minor student has told that she had befriended a boy on Instagram. After that, he was lured into a love trap, after which one day he invited the girl to a birthday party, then made her drink intoxicants and raped her. After that, he continued to sexually exploit her for a long time on the pretext of marriage. When the woman asked for marriage, he started reneging on the relationship and blackmailed the victim. After which the victim complained to the police.

The victim alleges that when she started pressurizing him for marriage, the young man flatly refused. Not only this, he also allegedly started blackmailing, due to which the girl got upset and approached the police. After which the police is investigating against the accused boy, at present the accused has not been arrested.

Got recognized on Instagram, then grew closer

According to the victim, she met a young man through Instagram. As the conversation progressed, the closeness between the two increased and the young man won their trust. It has been told that the accused works in a mall and during this time both of them remained in constant contact.

The student alleges that the young man invited her to his birthday party. There he was given a cold drink, in which intoxicants were allegedly mixed. The victim says that after drinking the beverage, she became unconscious and taking advantage of this situation, she was molested.

Police started investigation

After receiving the complaint about the matter, the police has started investigation. According to officials, the process of recording the statement of the victim is going on and preparations are being made to take action at possible locations to arrest the accused.
