Preparing Roadmap for 2027 World Cup

Speaking to a news agency, BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia said, ‘Preparations for the 2027 World Cup are underway. The help of all the important people related to cricket is being taken to plan this plan. He also clarified that whatever is being planned for senior players like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, will not be revealed to the media or outsiders for now. Devjit Saikia said, We have an excellent team of experts as the head of the board. We take all teams with us. Whatever decisions are taken, the cricket committee, selection committee, support staff, head coach and the players themselves are involved. We are in constant communication.’

He further said, ‘Therefore, there is no need to hold a separate meeting on this issue, as the process is ongoing. Moreover, as these plans are highly confidential and strategic matters, I do not wish to disclose them to the media or the public. I am not authorized to disclose them. These are matters that should remain behind the closed doors of board meetings.’
