About US $ 52,531,168.65 will be spent for this work so that dangerous gunpowder and mines can be removed from the lands there.

Information about this decision was given on 19 June 2026. Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiah, supervisor of the King Salman Relief Center, said that this work is being done as a humanitarian responsibility. He said that these mines were deliberately laid in such a way that they could harm civilians and cause serious injuries. Due to these mines, women, children and elderly people have suffered a lot and many people have become disabled forever.

This project has achieved great success so far. According to reports, till now the total 5,67,182 Anti-personnel and anti-tank mines as well as many unexploded bombs and ammunition have been safely evacuated.
