Preparations for District Level Yoga Day completed: Deputy Commissioner

Nawanshahr, Deputy Commissioner Gulpreet Singh Aulakh said that all preparations for the district level event of International Yoga Day to be celebrated on June 21 have been completed. The district level event will be held at Baradari Garden, Nawanshahr from 6:00 am to 7:00 am.

The Deputy Commissioner said that officers have been put on duty for the preparations for the Yoga Day to be held at Baradari Garden and instructions have been given to the concerned officers to ensure that there is no shortage in the event. He said that a big pandal, mat, sound system and LED screen have been installed for yoga practice. Complete arrangements for drinking water, seating and parking have been made for the convenience of the people. An ambulance and a medical team will be deployed by the health department. The police administration has also made necessary arrangements for security.

He said that students from different schools and colleges, NCC/NSS volunteers, government employees and a large number of common people will participate in this event. A team of yoga experts will conduct exercises as per the General Yoga Protocol of the Ministry of AYUSH, which will include asanas, pranayam and meditation.

The Deputy Commissioner appealed to the people of the district to reach Baradari Garden on time in the morning and participate in this event as much as possible and make yoga a part of their daily lifestyle.
