Tata Sierra.EV: First Official Picture Out Ahead Of 30th June Launch
Tata Motors is all set for its next big launch- the Sierra.EV. We now have the first official picture of this electric SUV ahead of its debut later this month.
Tata Motors will launch the Sierra.EV on June 30,2026. The Sierra.EV has been showcased multiple times in the past. It has evolved significantly through the years. The official image confirms that the production version will stand close to the version showcased at the Bharat Mobility Show 2025. It shows just the front view of the electric SUV.
The Sierra.EV will have a different front fascia than the internal combustion version. It will have a different nose design, a closed-off grille section, and new bumper. The image confirms that the EV will also use the internal combustion version’s sleek LED headlamp units. The front bumper will have a Silver skid plate as well.

Although not visible in this image, the Sierra.EV will have a tall stance and upright proportions. Like the internal combustion version, the EV will also have large, panoramic rear windows, flush-type door handles, clamshell-styled tailgate, functional roof rails and more. Unlike the petrol/diesel version, it will have aero-optimised alloy wheels, redesigned bumpers, and multiple ‘.EV’ badges. The recognizable nature of its design will likely lead to better acceptance of the Sierra.EV.
Tata Motors will likely revise the Sierra.EV’s colour palette as well. The internal combustion version comes in six dual-tone colour options. The EV’s palette is likely to be different, in line with those of models like the new Punch.EV and Tiago.EV.

The carmaker hasn’t revealed the interior design of Sierra.EV yet. It is expected to have a premium design and will likely use premium trims and more muted colours. The equipment array is likely to be shared with the internal combustion version.
The EV will then come with features like a dual-zone climate control, ventilated seats, head up display (HUD), wireless charger, panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, three-screen setup, 12-speaker JBL audio with Dolby Atmos, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, connected car features, powered tailgate, ADAS and more. These are all likely to be retained on the EV as well. Additionally, it could also offer vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-load (V2L) charging.

The Sierra.EV will be based on the Acti.EV+ platform. This is the same platform that underpins the Harrier.EV. Details of the Sierra.EV’s battery packs remain under the wraps. It is likely to offer two options- 55kWh and 65kWh. Both single-motor and dual-motor configurations will be available. The latter may use a larger battery, and will be limited to higher trims.
The Sierra.EV belongs to the mid-size electric SUV space. It will compete with the likes of Maruti eVitara, Toyota eBella, Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, Mahindra BE6, and others. Tata Motors currently lacks a product in the 4.3-metre e-SUV segment. The Curvv.EV is more of a coupe than a proper SUV. The Sierra.EV’s rollout will help the carmaker strengthen its presence in this segment.
It will be manufactured at the Sanand plant. The internal combustion Sierra is also made here, and the facility is used to manufacturing high-volume, high-demand models.
