The aftermath of a tragic incident linked to the film Pushpa 2 is far from over, even after one and a half years have passed, as Allu Arjun has been summoned by Hyderabad’s Nampally Court.
The court has asked him to appear in person on June 22 in connection with the Sandhya Theatre stampede case, as proceedings in the matter move forward.
According to reports, Chikkadpally Police have named the 44-year-old actor as Accused No. 11 in the case, and the management of Sandhya Theatre has been listed as Accused Nos. 1 to 10.
The court has issued summons to 19 accused persons, while police have already filed a charge sheet against 23 individuals.

The case is about a stampede that took place during a special screening of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad on December 4, 2024, where a woman named Revathi lost her life in the incident and her son Sritej suffered severe injuries.

The latest court action comes days after the Pushpa star’s wife Sneha Reddy and his father and producer Allu Aravind visited Sritej and his family.
During the visit, they enquired about his health and assured the family of continued support.
It’s pertinent to mention that Sritej suffered serious injuries in the stampede and remained unconscious for a long period. He later developed respiratory and neurological complications and required ventilator support.
After spending nearly five months in intensive care, he was discharged in April 2025 and shifted to a rehabilitation centre for further treatment.
