In view of the huge crowd of pilgrims and tourists in the summer season, Jammu Division of Northern Railway has taken a big decision to provide confirmed seats to the passengers. Railways has officially announced to temporarily add additional 3rd AC coaches in the three most prominent and popular trains running between Jammu and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to Delhi. This step will provide immediate relief to passengers troubled by long waiting lists. Extra coaches will be added to these 3 VIP trains, see the complete list and date. According to the information received from the railway officials, the schedule of the three trains in which extra coaches are being installed for the convenience of the passengers is as follows: Train No. 04082 (Katra to New Delhi): An additional third AC coach will be added in this special train running between Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra to New Delhi from June 30 to August 4. Jammu Rajdhani Express (Train No. 12426): In this most VIP and popular train going from Jammu to New Delhi, an extra third AC coach will be installed from June 27 to August 3, which will benefit the daily commuters. Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan Express (Train No. 22402): In this express train running between Udhampur to Delhi Sarai Rohilla, an additional third AC coach will work temporarily from June 21 to June 23. 72 extra seats will be available in every coach, hundreds of waiting tickets will be confirmed. The biggest benefit from this decision of Railways will be to those people who were on the waiting list due to not being able to book tickets months ago. According to the railway administration, approximately 72 seats will be available in each additional third AC coach being installed in the trains. This means that the waiting tickets of hundreds of passengers in every trip will be easily confirmed and they will get a chance to travel comfortably. Railways took action in view of the crowd and summer rush. There are summer holidays in schools and colleges across the country in the months of June and July. In such a situation, a record increase is recorded in the number of devotees coming to visit Mata Vaishno Devi and tourists visiting the cold valleys of Kashmir. Due to huge demand, there was not even space to step in all the trains on these routes. Sensing this problem of the passengers, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (Jammu) Utpi Singhal said that this big step has been taken only to reduce the pressure of huge crowd of passengers and long waiting list at the ground level. With the addition of these additional coaches, the journey of the passengers will not only become easier but will also free them from the hassles of touts.
