But Trump’s real displeasure is with Meloni’s statement that he did not openly support America’s stance against Iran. According to Trump’s allegation, Italy did not support America to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons. Even when US aircraft needed to use Italian runways during military operations, they were denied permission, causing huge logistical challenges for the US.

Her popularity levels are falling in Italy, perhaps because Georgia Meloni refused to side with the US when it came to preventing Iran from acquiring or producing nuclear weapons. However, NATO also did the same.
