Investigation completed in Noida labor violence case, SIT filed 1500-page charge sheet in court.
The Special Investigation Team has completed its investigation in the case of labor violence that took place in Noida and Greater Noida in April 2026. SIT has filed a detailed charge sheet of about 1500 pages in the court. Many important evidences and facts have been presented against those who conspired to commit violence and those who were directly involved in the disturbance. Important evidence has been found of Rupesh Rai running an anti-government network and inciting violence since 2018.
After completing the investigation of Richa Global located in Hosiery Complex, Noida, Phase II Kotwali police has filed a charge sheet of about 1500 pages in the court. 77 witnesses have been made in this.
On April 13 and 14, violence broke out during workers’ protests in various areas of Noida. During this period, incidents of arson, vandalism and damage to public and private properties were reported at many places. Strict legal action has been initiated against about 34 accused in the case of arson and violence. At present all the accused are still in jail.
On the basis of the facts found during the investigation, the SIT has identified about 10 people who are accused of inciting violence and carrying out the entire conspiracy. It has come to light that about two dozen people were directly involved in violent activities.
In the charge sheet of this case, the police has claimed to have evidence against many accused including accused Rupesh Rai, Aakriti, Manisha Chaudhary, Satyam Verma, Himanshu Thakur, Satish Kumar. All these accused are currently in judicial custody.
On April 12, a case was registered in Phase-2 Kotwali on behalf of Richa Global Hosiery Complex alleging sabotage, assault, arson and other charges. According to initial information, on the basis of CCTV footage and other evidence, Rupesh Rai, Aditya Anand, Satyam Verma, Himanshu Thakur, Aakriti, Shrishti Gupta, Manisha Chaudhary, Bhupendra alias Bhapi, Satish Kumar alias Siddharth, Maduresh Rai were arrested and sent to jail.
It has been told in the charge sheet of this case that many documents, messages and other digital materials have been recovered from the mobile phone and laptop of the main accused Rupesh Rai. That inspired the workers to strike and protest.
However, after the investigation of the case is completed, these claims will now be finally confirmed on the basis of evidence and witnesses presented during the hearing in the court.
