Locked Up House: Netflix’s unique reality show

Lock Up House: Netflix’s new reality show ‘Lock Up’ is going to be in front of the audience soon. The most fascinating aspect of the show is its prison-themed house, the first look of which has been released recently. It has been designed by filmmaker and production designer Omung Kumar, and it completely looks like a modern prison. In this, small cells, red and black interiors and cameras installed in every corner will make the contestants feel truly ‘imprisoned’.

The biggest feature of this house is its small jail cells. Omung Kumar said that these sales have been deliberately kept small. He said, ‘Everyone is afraid of jail and should be afraid too. But this is a modern prison. The cells are small and this is intentional. This will make the contestants feel that they are being harassed and trapped.

The theme of the show is ‘Truth or Punishment’, so the entire set has been designed to promote the same feeling. There is a large gallery in the middle of the house, with jail cells on either side. There is a big screen at the end of the gallery. There are several screens throughout the set, on which instructions will be given to the contestants. Each cell has two beds, which have white sheets, pillows and blankets. Besides, there are two screens installed in each cell.

Monitoring of contestants

The scariest thing is that there are cameras installed in every corner of the cell, which will keep an eye on every activity of the contestants. Explaining more about the design, Omung Kumar said, ‘It is in an undisclosed place, from where it cannot be easily known where it is.’ His aim was to make the contestants truly experience the punishment. The combination of red and black makes the whole atmosphere even more serious and intense. Contestants will have to face many challenges in Lock Up. Where the truth will come out, there will be punishment for making mistakes.

Small cells, constant monitoring and a strict environment are making the show more exciting. The audience is now curious to know which celebrities will participate in the show and how long will they be able to survive in this prison-like life. This unique concept and brilliant set design of the show has already become a topic of much discussion.
