The Indian men’s junior artistic gymnastics team clinched a historic bronze medal at the 2026 Asian Gymnastics Championships in Zunyi, China.
It marked India’s best-ever performance in the artistic team event in the competition.
Harschit Damodaran, Nishad Narvane, SK Nabig Ali, Akshat Bajaj, and Mohd Zaid Ansari accumulated a total of 224.493 to win the bronze medal behind China (241.458) and Japan (239.461).
Damodaran emerged as India’s best performing gymnast in the competition, qualifying for the individual vault and floor exercise finals.
Bajaj also made it to the individual vault final.
