India registered its biggest win in 200 plus target
Chennai: The Indian team, under the captaincy of Shubman Gill, has started its campaign in a very good manner keeping in mind the preparations for the ODI World Cup to be held in the year 2027. Team India has succeeded in making a clean sweep of the three-match ODI series played at home against Afghanistan by winning all three matches. The third match of this series was played at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai in which the Indian team had got the target of 219 runs and by completing it in just 28.4 overs i.e. 128 balls, they have achieved their biggest win in ODI history in 200 plus target from the point of view of balls remaining.
Fourth biggest win ever in ODI in 200 plus target
In the third ODI against Afghanistan, Team India’s opening pair of Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal gave a great start while chasing the target of 219 runs. A partnership of 170 runs was seen between the two for the first wicket. While Rohit returned to the pavilion after playing an inning of 79 runs, Yashasvi Jaiswal returned after scoring an unbeaten century of 110 runs. This is the fourth biggest win in terms of balls remaining in the history of ODI cricket in terms of successfully chasing 200 plus target. West Indies team is at the first place in this list, who chased the target of 203 runs with 177 balls remaining in the match against Canada in the year 2003.

India is the only full member team that has not lost a single match to Afghanistan till now.
So far in international cricket, the Indian team has had an excellent record against Afghanistan in all three formats. In this, Team India is the only full member squad whom Afghanistan has not been able to defeat till now in a single match in any format of international cricket. Till now, a total of 18 matches have been played between the two teams in all formats, out of which Team India has won 16 matches, while one match ended in a tie while one match was cancelled.
