One of the two thieves who were running away after snatching the mobile phone died

According to the report, on the evening of June 16, lawyer Basavaraju M. was standing on the road and checking the location on his mobile. Meanwhile, two youths riding a scooter reached there and snatched the mobile from his hand and started running away. Basavaraju immediately raised an alarm and ran after them.

Then a laborer working nearby, realizing the situation, acted quickly and threw a heavy sack towards the fleeing accused. As soon as the sack was hit, both the youth lost their balance and fell on the road. During this time the snatched mobile also fell down. After this both the accused left the scooter and started running away on foot.

According to the police, both the accused ran for about 250 meters. Meanwhile, an 18-year-old youth named Junaid suddenly fell on the road. Investigation revealed that he had pre-existing heart disease and during his escape he suffered a heart attack, resulting in his death.

His 23-year-old companion was arrested by the police. After the incident came to light, people on social media praised the bravery of the worker. Many users called it “instant karma”, while some also demanded that the laborer be honoured. At present the police is investigating the entire matter.
