Navi Mumbai International Airport has been in the limelight since its inception. What is currently in the limelight is its maiden international flight. Air India Express on Sunday announced the launch of direct flights between Navi Mumbai International Airport and Abu Dhabi. This is big news for Navi Mumbai Airport as it becomes the first airline in Maharashtra to start international flights from this new airport.

How many times a week do you serve?
According to the airline’s announcement, this new service will start from July 15. Initially, the service will run twice a week, on Wednesdays and Fridays. From July 29, the service will run three times a week, including a Sunday service.
As per the initial schedule, the flights will depart from Abu Dhabi at 5:45 am and arrive in Navi Mumbai at 10:20 am (local time).
30 flights per week
Additionally, the return flight will depart from Navi Mumbai at 2:55 am and reach Abu Dhabi at 4:35 am local time. With the addition of the Abu Dhabi service, Air India Express will operate 30 weekly flights from Navi Mumbai, connecting the airport directly to Abu Dhabi, Bangalore and Delhi.
Another way for travelers to UAE
The airline said its presence in Maharashtra is steadily increasing, with over 95 weekly flights from Mumbai, over 100 from Pune and 14 from Nagpur. The launch of this service will provide passengers from the Mumbai metropolitan region with another route to travel to the UAE, increasing connectivity and offering more convenience and travel options.
What will be the benefit?
Additionally, bookings for this route are now open on the airline’s website, mobile application and other booking channels. Air India Express operates one of the largest networks between India and West Asia, connecting several cities in India with destinations in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
