‘The two most important people in my life, an Indian and a Pakistani’, JD Vance’s unique comment

New Delhi: A statement by US Vice President JD Vance has come into discussion amid the ongoing peace efforts between America and Iran. He not only openly praised Pakistan’s role, but also described Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir as an important part of this process. Vance says that due to the diplomatic efforts of various countries, talks between America and Iran have reached such a stage where direct discussion on many important issues has become possible.

JD Vance shared his views during a special meeting held in Switzerland. Representatives of Pakistan, Qatar, Iran and America participated in this meeting. The main objective of the talks was to strengthen regional stability, peace and mutual cooperation. Vance said that in recent months many countries have played an important role in taking the negotiations forward by working behind the scenes. He specifically mentioned the contribution of Pakistan and said that its cooperation has been important in giving a successful direction to this process.

‘Two important people in my life, an Indian and a Pakistani’

During his address, Vance also made a comment in a light tone, which caught everyone’s attention. He said that in the last few months two people have been very important in his life. One is his Indian wife and the other is Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir. Vance said smilingly that in recent times he has talked to Asim Munir so much that perhaps he would not have discussed so much with any other person.

Told the role of Pakistan is important

The US Vice President said that if there had not been continuous dialogue and mediation between various parties, the talks between the US and Iran would not have reached this level. He described Asim Munir as a capable military officer as well as an influential diplomat. According to Vance, Pakistan has played a constructive role in taking the peace process forward and this has strengthened efforts to bring stability in the region.

Hope for change in the Middle East

Vance said that recent diplomatic efforts have achieved some important goals. He said that achievements like reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and getting some commitments from Iran regarding its nuclear program have come to light. He said that now the next goal is to see how much more positive progress can be made in the region through dialogue. He believes that if all parties move forward in the spirit of cooperation, a new era of peace and development can begin in the Middle East.

What did Vance say about Iran?

The US Vice President said that Iran has long been considered one of the major causes of regional instability. However, he also said that now there is an opportunity to change the situation through dialogue and diplomacy. According to him, the goal of the future is to create an environment where cooperation and dialogue is promoted instead of confrontation between Iran and the Gulf countries. The entire area will benefit from this.

Opinion also expressed on ceasefire in Lebanon

Answering questions related to ceasefire violations in Lebanon, Vance said that it is natural for any peace process to face challenges. He admitted that all the problems cannot be solved immediately, but the situation has seen a lot of improvement in the last few months. He said that America will continue efforts to strengthen the ceasefire and reduce conflict. It also reiterated that Washington is continuously playing an active role in establishing stability in the region.

Vance believes that the purpose of such talks is not to end every dispute immediately. Rather, through these meetings, a platform is created where all parties can put forward their concerns and move towards a solution. He expressed hope that the current dialogue can prove to be the foundation of better relations and a more stable regional order in the future.
