Censor Board’s scissors on ‘Welcome to Jungle’, instructions for 14 changes before release
The much-awaited comedy film ‘Welcome to Jungle’ starring Akshay Kumar has come into the news due to the strictness of the censor board before its release.
The film is going to be released in theaters on June 26, but before that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has raised objections to many scenes and dialogues in the film and has directed to make a total of 14 changes. The decision came after the producers sent the film to the board for certification.
According to reports, the censor board has demanded changes in some dialogues. The dialogue ‘Kaala born hua hai, koyla hua hai’ present in the film has been asked to be changed to ‘Sada born hua hai, sample hua hai’.
Apart from this, replacing the word ‘screwed’ with a suitable word, replacing ‘Azruddin’ with ‘Allauddin’ and ‘Gorkha Regiment’ with ‘Tum Army Se Ho?’ Instructions have been given to replace them with dialogues like: It has also been advised to remove some scenes completely and modify some objectionable dialogues.
The Censor Board has also asked to change the bikini and close-up shots present in a song of the film. Besides, instructions have also been given to cut some glamorous scenes filmed on Disha Patani and Jacqueline Fernandes. Some scenes containing obscene gestures have been removed and other shots have been added in their place. After all these changes the film has been awarded U/A 16+ certificate.
The total duration of the film has been determined to be 2 hours 44 minutes 50 seconds. Many popular actors will be seen with Akshay Kumar in this multi-starrer comedy entertainer. Now the audience’s eyes are fixed on the advance booking and box office performance of the film, which is going to start from June 23.
