Russian drone attack in Ukraine’s Sumy city, three people of the same family killed
Kiev. Three members of a family were killed in a Russian drone attack on the city of Sumy in northeastern Ukraine. Which included a 13-year-old boy and his father. Meanwhile, two others were injured. A regional officer gave this information on Monday.
Russia has bombarded Ukrainian civilian areas with drones and missiles since it launched a full-scale invasion of its neighbor more than four years ago. At the same time, according to United Nations data, more than 16,000 civilians have been killed in the war. US-led peace efforts have not succeeded in stopping the fighting.
The Sumy attack targeted a house and killed a 36-year-old man, his 13-year-old son and a 73-year-old woman, according to Oleh Grigorov, head of the regional military administration. He said the man’s partner and 10-year-old son were injured. Civilian casualties from Russian attacks have increased recently, according to the UN human rights monitoring mission in Ukraine, as Moscow’s forces struggle to regain momentum on the battlefield.
