Ram Charan praises Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar’ ₹1800 cr success
Indian actor Ram Charan spoke about the impact of big Indian films at a recent summit, where he also mentioned the success of Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar films and said that strong cinema had helped bring audiences back to theatres.
He had said that films like KGF, Pushpa 2, Kantara, RRRand Dhurandhar had shown that viewers still supported cinema when the content was strong. He added that theatre culture had remained an important part of Indian entertainment even after the pandemic.
During the discussion, he had described Dhurandhar as “terrific, fantastic and phenomenal” after recently watching it on OTT. He said, “It had everything falling in place in the right way, in the right tempo.”
He also pointed out that cinema remained one of the most affordable forms of entertainment in India. He said it also worked as a shared experience for families and audiences who discussed films after watching them.
The Game Changer actor further commented on theatre economics and said that reducing snack prices could make the cinema experience better for audiences. He added that audience support was reflected in box office numbers.
He said the success of films like Dhurandhar showed strong public acceptance, adding that such films helped strengthen the film industry’s connection with viewers.

According to trade reports mentioned at the summit, Dhurandhar films had performed strongly at the box office, with collections crossing major milestones worldwide.
