New Delhi, June 23. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has issued a stern warning over increasing centralization in the artificial intelligence (AI) industry, saying that just a few companies should not be allowed to decide the future of the technology that is rapidly changing economies, workplaces and societies.
In an interview with ‘The Wall Street Journal’, Nadella mentioned the vision for the next phase of Artificial Intelligence. This vision focuses on low-cost models, greater user control, and greater access to technology. Nadella said, ‘You cannot say that all white-collar jobs are gone and this can also be weaponized, and we will use all our strength to build data centers.’
Satya Nadella said that the public will not accept a future in which only a few companies have control over the learning, use and benefits of AI. Instead he advocated a method by which public trust could be won.
