Ahead of the IPL, it has been announced that there has been a big trade between DC and LSG between Rishabh Pant and Kuldeep Yadav. Former Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant is going to make a comeback to Delhi Capitals (DC), while Kuldeep Yadav will join Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). This is one of the biggest player trades in recent IPL history. Pant is returning to the franchise where he spent nine seasons between 2016 and 2024 and played 111 matches – the most by any player for DC. Pant, one of the main faces of the franchise for almost a decade, also captained the team in 43 matches across four seasons from 2021 to 2024.

In the TATA IPL 2025 player auction, LSG bought Pant for a record Rs 27 crore – the biggest bid in IPL history. After this trade, he will re-join DC for a new fee of Rs 15 crore. Kuldeep joins LSG after a highly successful stint with Delhi Capitals for five seasons. Since joining the franchise in 2022, the left-arm wrist spinner has taken 72 wickets in 65 matches and has carved a niche for himself as one of the most effective wicket-takers in the tournament. Kuldeep, one of India’s finest white-ball bowlers, will join LSG for his current fee of Rs 13.50 crore.
