Citroen Aircross Comfort Edition Launched At Rs 9.09 Lakh
Citroen India has launched a new Comfort Edition on the Aircross SUV, priced from Rs 9.09 lakh, ex-showroom. This is a limited-run edition that brings a bunch of cosmetic upgrades and feature additions to the SUV. These are claimed to enhance its overall appeal and pack more value into it. This is particularly important as the Aircross belongs to a segment dominated by tech-heavy SUVs.
Firstly, the Comfort Edition introduces beige leatherette seat upholstery on the Aircross. It is available in three trims- You, Plus and Plus Turbo. Leatherette upholstery has thus been made available across the range. This is interesting, considering leatherette seats are typically kept exclusive to higher variants of other mid-size and B segment SUVs.
Another improvement is in the rear seat comfort. These now feature adjustable headrests. The material quality and trims used inside have improved on the Comfort Edition. The interior trims, for example, get black grained finish and Silver accents.
This update enhances the perceived quality, and makes the interior feel more upmarket than before. Additionally, the Comfort Edition has added more features to the respective base trims. In a way, it has democratised equipment between Aircross variants.

The Comfort Edition Aircross offers three accessory packages for additional flexibility and customisation. These facilitate further value optimization by letting the buyer choose the features he/she needs.
The You Pack adds soft-touch materials and interior trims, a 10-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto and a reverse camera with guidelines. The exterior gets a door cladding with Chrome insert, full wheel covers, and several other styling elements. The pack costs Rs 36,600.
This accessory pack adds a reverse camera and wireless charger to the cabin and door cladding with Chrome insert and some other cosmetic enhancements to the exterior. It costs Rs 8460.
This is the most expensive of the three. It costs Rs 40,000 and adds a JBL-branded audio system with amplifier, front and rear dashcams with audio alerts and predictive safety functionality to the vehicle.

The Comfort edition is priced from Rs 9.09 lakh, ex-showroom. The range-topping variant costs Rs 11.99 lakh, ex-showroom. This limited edition is only available with a manual transmission option.
- You Comfort Edition: Rs 9.09 lakh
- Plus Comfort Edition: Rs 9.99 lakh
- Plus Turbo Comfort Edition: 11.99 lakh
*All prices ex-showroom
Interestingly, the You Comfort Edition is Rs 20,000 more expensive than the standard You variant. The two other Comfort Edition variants have exactly the same ex-showroom prices as the regular Plus and Plus Turbo trims.
The Aircross comes with two engine options- 1.2L naturally aspirated petrol and 1.2L turbocharged petrol. The You trim is only available with the former. Plus can be had with both engine options. The naturally aspirated engine makes 82hp, whereas the turbo-petrol produces 110hp. A manual and a torque converter automatic transmission are available, although the latter is kept exclusive to the range-topping MAX trim.
In the Indian market, the Aircross competes with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Maruti Grand Vitara, Renault Duster, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, Tata Sierra and more. This, as you know, is a highly competitive segment. All contenders come packed with features. The Aircross, however, isn’t as well-kitted as some of its rivals. The Comfort Edition and the accessory packs try to address this limitation.
