The case of suspicious death of 26-year-old Ketan Aggarwal, belonging to a reputed real estate business family of Pune, in the moat of Lohgarh Fort has now turned into a very shocking murder case. Ketan’s fiancee Siya Goyal, who initially called it an ‘accident of foot slipping’, is now herself behind bars. Police investigation has revealed that a sinister conspiracy was hatched to remove Ketan amid preparations for the royal wedding to be held in November.

Fiance’s ’emotional’ post becomes part of investigation

After Ketan’s death, Sia Goyal shared a very emotional Instagram story on social media. While sharing the video of the moments spent with Ketan, she had written, “You left me on my birthday… come back.” Police are now considering this post of Sia as an important part of their investigation. Officials say that the way an attempt was made to present it as an accident, it was part of a completely planned conspiracy.

What is the whole matter?

Ketan Aggarwal, a resident of Gahunje, Pune, died on June 18 after falling into a 400 feet deep moat of Lohgarh Fort. Police initially received information that his foot slipped due to strong wind. However, the investigation led by Pune Rural Superintendent of Police Sandeep Singh Gill changed the course of the case. During investigation, it was revealed that Ketan and Siya were going to get married in a palace in Udaipur in November, preparations for which were almost complete.

Conspiracy of murder hatched with lover

Police investigation revealed that Siya Goyal also had a relationship with 22-year-old Chetan Chaudhary, resident of Kondhwa, Pune. Reportedly, Chetan did not approve of Ketan and Sia’s marriage at all. It is alleged that Siya called Ketan to Lohgarh Fort on the pretext of visiting him and along with Chetan who was already present there, pushed Ketan into the ditch from behind. Both of them tried their best to make it look like a normal accident, but the evidence and call details exposed their lies.

On the complaint of Ketan Aggarwal’s father Vishal Aggarwal, Pune Rural Police has registered a case of murder and criminal conspiracy under relevant sections of the Indian Justice Code. Police arrested both Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary on Tuesday. A ‘trip’ that was supposed to be Ketan’s last trip with his fiancée has now been registered as a sensational murder case. Along with hearing the case in the court, the police is also working to connect other links.
