Ram temple offering controversy: Sant Samaj trusts SIT investigation!
The Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the case of theft of offerings in Shri Ram temple of Ayodhya has submitted the preliminary investigation report to the government. Reactions of Sant Samaj are coming forward regarding the report. Various saints and religious leaders have expressed confidence in the investigation process and said that the truth will come out through the SIT formed under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and strict action will be taken against the culprits.
Mahant Sitaram Das of Ayodhya said while talking to news agency IANS that the SIT report is completely transparent. Sant Samaj was already confident that the investigation team formed by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath would work impartially and bring the truth of the entire matter before the public. The investigation report has further strengthened this belief.
At the same time, Arya Sant Varun Das said that the eyes of the entire country were fixed on the SIT report. He told that from the very beginning, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had appealed to the public and the saint community to maintain patience and had assured that the truth would soon be revealed. Now after the release of the report, many questions arising in the minds of people have been resolved.
Sadhguru Acharya Satish Maharaj from Noida also expressed full confidence in the SIT investigation into the offerings controversy. He said that Ram temple is a symbol of faith, dedication and struggle of crores of Sanatanis and Hindus.
He said that devotees from all over the country have contributed in the construction of the temple by contributing every penny and this is the result of 500 years of long struggle and devotion. In such a situation, if allegations of any kind of corruption or irregularity related to donations come to light, then it is extremely sad and worrying. He clearly said that the Sant Samaj strongly opposes any such act.
Acharya Satish Maharaj expressed satisfaction that considering the seriousness of the matter, immediate investigation was ordered and SIT was formed. In the cases where no action was taken during the previous governments, today steps are being taken promptly under the BJP government. Appealing to the Sant Samaj to maintain patience, he said that strict action will be taken against whoever is found guilty in the investigation.
Responding to the criticism of the BJP government by the opposition parties, Acharya Satish Maharaj said that those who have stood against Ram devotees in the past should introspect before commenting on the subject. A person does not acquire moral authority on this issue merely by being in power or in opposition.
There is a need to see who has made real contribution to Lord Shri Ram and Ram Mandir movement. The BJP government has realized the age-old struggle in the form of construction of Ram temple.
On the other hand, Mahamandaleshwar and National Secretary of All India Sant Committee from Rishikesh, Ishwar Das Maharaj also appealed to the people to maintain faith in the SIT investigation. He alleged that some political parties and organizations are creating unnecessary controversies regarding this issue and trying to defame Sanatan Samaj.
Ishwar Das Maharaj said that from temple construction to life consecration, some political parties and groups have continuously opposed Lord Shri Ram and the Sanatan tradition. He admitted that alleged theft in temple donations has come to light, but should wait for the investigation to be completed before reaching its conclusion. In big institutions like temples where many good people are associated, some wrong elements can also enter, hence action based on facts is necessary.
He said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took immediate action in the matter and formed the SIT, which shows his seriousness. Doing politics on a sensitive issue like Ram Temple and hurting the sentiments of Sanatani people has been an old strategy of the opposition.
He said that Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections are to be held in the year 2027, hence some political forces are trying to create confusion in the Hindu society. The main objective of the opposition parties is to politically harm Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He appealed to the saint community and devotees to maintain patience and allow the investigating agencies to complete their work.
Dr. Yoganand Giri Maharaj, Ashtakoushal Mahant of Shri Panch Dashnam Juna Akhara of Mirzapur, said on the Ram Temple offering controversy that theft of money and jewelery from the donation bins of Shri Ram Temple is causing dissatisfaction among the devotees who have faith in God. An FIR should be lodged for this robbery and investigation should be done. This matter has reached the High Court, so the decision is awaited. The Sant Samaj is distressed about this robbery.
